Parents’ Association

Partnership with parents is central to what we do here at Glenasmole. Ní neart go cur le chéile.

We have an active Parents’ Association in the school, which forms an invaluable link between parents and the school. Our fantastic Parents’ Association helps  our school by running projects, hosting events or assisting improvements such as our school garden. All parents are encouraged to joi

Examples of how the Parents’ Association supports our school are:

Making other parents welcome

Fundraisers such as cake sales

Providing teas and coffees at various events

Assisting the school in policy formation

Supporting school events such as sports day

Supporting with the school garden

Parental Involvement

We encourage parent involvement through our very active Parents’ Association or by contacting the school directly. Parents’ views are very important to us.

Parents are regularly invited to join with the teachers in activities such as Shared Reading and Maths, storytelling and music sessions.

Parents form part of our Green Schools Committee and are involved in our Garden project. Sports Days, Fundraising events, Celebrations, Concerts, Green Schools and Science events – these are days when all parents are invited to the school.

We try to give plenty of notice and an open invitation is usually extended to all members of family, relatives and the wider community.
