Student Council
The goal of our Council is to give the pupils a voice.
They have been responsible for ideas such as Buddy Benches on our yard, organising fundraising activities such as book sale for Pieta House and conducting surveys of students and parents to get their views. They even used their voice to create change in the school by asking the Board of Management to change the uniform policy.
Recently, the Council decided to write a school newsletter, written by the pupils for our school community. It is published online every term and linked on our website.
The role of our School Council is integral to the running of our school. It is their contribution and ideas that make our school the happy, inclusive community it is.
We are so proud of their hard work and initiative.
Every class in our school has an elected representative to the School Council. Elections are held early in the year and interested candidates are encouraged to campaign for their place on the council, making posters and addressing their class with speeches.
