STEM Education
At Glenasmole National School, we are proud of our strong commitment to STEM education. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics play an important role in helping our pupils develop curiosity, creativity, problem solving skills and confidence as learners.
Our approach to STEM is active, engaging and practical. Through hands on experiments, design and make activities, technology projects and problem solving challenges, pupils are encouraged to question, explore, investigate and discover.
We believe that STEM learning should connect with real life experiences. Children are given opportunities to apply their learning in meaningful ways, helping them to understand the world around them and to develop important skills for the future.
Glenasmole National School has been recognised for its commitment to STEM learning over many years. We are very proud to have achieved 15 Discovery Science Awards, reflecting the wonderful work taking place across the school in Science, Technology, Engineering and MathematicsSTEM Education
