Creative Arts at Glenasmole National School

At Glenasmole National School, we believe that creativity is at the heart of a well rounded education. We aim to give every child opportunities to express themselves, develop new skills and explore their imagination in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

Children at Glenasmole take part in a wide range of creative experiences, including:

Drama workshops with Freshly Ground Theatre, a local professional theatre collective, supporting confidence, collaboration and self expression.

Weekly music lessons with Nicola from Music Generation, where pupils learn instruments such as the ukulele and keyboard.

Forest School and outdoor learning experiences, where children can explore creativity, nature and wellbeing through hands on activities.

Visual arts, performance and creative storytelling, allowing children to develop their ideas, skills and confidence in different ways.

Through these experiences, pupils build confidence, teamwork and resilience, while also developing their artistic skills, imagination and creative thinking.

Our Creative Arts programme reflects our school motto, Ní neart go cur le chéile, as children learn, create and grow together.
