Parents’ Association
Partnership with parents is central to school life here at Glenasmole National School. Our school motto, Ní neart go cur le chéile, reminds us that we are strongest when we work together.
We are very fortunate to have an active and supportive Parents’ Association, which forms an invaluable link between parents and the school. The Parents’ Association plays an important role in supporting school life, helping to build a welcoming community and contributing to many projects, events and improvements across the school.
Examples of how our Parents’ Association supports the school include:
• Welcoming new parents and families
• Organising fundraisers such as cake sales and clothing collections
• Providing teas and coffees at school events
• Supporting school celebrations, concerts and special occasions
• Assisting with school initiatives such as our garden project
• Supporting events such as Sports Day
• Contributing to policy formation and sharing parent views
The work of the Parents’ Association is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference to the children, families and staff of Glenasmole National School.

Parental Involvement
We value strong relationships with parents and encourage parents to become involved in school life in a variety of ways. Parents’ views are very important to us, and we welcome open communication between home and school.
Parents are regularly invited to take part in school activities such as Shared Reading and Maths, storytelling, music sessions and special classroom events.
Parents also play an important role in whole school initiatives, including our Green Schools Committee and our school garden project. Throughout the year, parents are invited to join us for events such as Sports Day, fundraising events, celebrations, concerts, Green Schools activities and Science events.
Where possible, we aim to give plenty of notice for school events, and we are always delighted to welcome parents, relatives and members of the wider community into the school.
At Glenasmole National School, we truly value the support, time and generosity of our parents. Together, we help create a warm, welcoming and vibrant school community for all our children.
